Hello, Lately I have upgraded Netgear R6220 form OpenWrt 19.07 to 20.02 and I have some problems with it: I use mwan3 to load balance flows between two 100 Mbps links (in the same subnet). On 19.07 it worked great: new connections were assigned to both links so using multithreaded speedtest, torrent etc. gave me 200 Mbps. On 20.02 I get …Oct 1, 2015 · When a router sends an update over eBGP, it updates the next hop attribute, normally with its own address on the interface that the update is transmitted over. iBGP. So, in most instances, route announcements via IBGP are stamped with a modified BGP next_hop attribute, which changes the BGP next_hop from the original advertising router ... Apr 13, 2020 · When using 'network' statement to advertise a prefix that is pinned to a static route, BGP will advertise the route with the static route's next-hop as the iBGP nexthop, instead of setting the next-hop to self (lo0). There are two points need to be understand, when you configure static route on router. 1) If you configured static route pointed to next hop IP address, for every destination forwarding router requires only L2 address of next hop IP address to rewrite the L2 frame. Example: ip route 2.2.2.0 255.255.255.0 10.1.1.2.The next-hop statement changes the original next-hop from 11.0.0.5 (R2) to 2.2.2.2 (PE-2) for routes advertised to PE-1 (2.2.2.1). The route-map DEFAULT-RM is applied for outbound routes sent to the customer router R2. It ensures that ISP advertises only a default route towards the customer, instead of the full Internet routing table. What you have implemented is phase 2 and this is because of the "no ip next-hop-self eigrp 777" command which preserves the next hop value. The name next-hop-self comes from the setting in BGP. RFC 4271 defines next-hop as, "The NEXT_HOP is a well-known mandatory attribute that defines the IP address of the router that SHOULD be used as the next hop to the destinations listed in the UPDATE message." In iBGP, the next-hop advertised to iBGP peers is not changed (by default). In the screenshot below, "Export Next Hop" is set to "Use Self". This forces the local firewall to set the NEXT_HOP BGP attribute to its own IP address (BGP router ID) for all routes advertised to the members of the BGP peer group. This action has effect for both reflected and non-reflected (learned from eBGP) routes. PAN-OS 6.0 and above:Employee self-evaluations are an important tool for both employees and employers.
